Backfiring, radio turning off

I have a 93 touring with PFC, Exhaust, and reliablity mods. It was running fine up until a few weeks ago and has gotten worse. It will all the sudden backfire, the radio turns on and off and sometimes it runs great. Seems to me its a bad connection somewhere or a bad coil pack? Any advice/tips on where to start would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Carl

Its not the alternator or battery, I drove the car about 6 miles and it ran great, no cutting off or anything, think it could be a bad connection somewhere? its not at the battery.

Grounding? When you checked your alternator did you do a voltage drop test. This can show you if you have a bad ground somewhere. I'm sure if you do a search you might find something.
