Backfire wont rev past 4500-6000 and PFC looses power and rests the controller.

This is a 1994 RHD model, it has No Cats, larger intercooler, manual boost control, intakes for both turbo's, simplified routing for the sequential turbos, upgraded all the vacuum lines, simplified the throttlebody, new plugs, new wires. I have a boost gauge and a wideband. The motor was swapped from another car last winter.

The car drives phenomanly to just before 4500- 6000 RPM when it backfires like a shotgun blast, and the power fc controller resets. ??!!strange. This can be replicated both with load and without. I just want to drive this thing already.

I have checked all my vacuum lines, found secondary injector plug was not making the best contact fixed that, new fuel filter plugs..

I dont know what to look at next. Could it be a problem with my sequential turbo control? could it be a stuck injector?

Please help me fellow RX7 club members.

Did you try swapping in another computer to see if the problem follows?

I have not done that yet, do you think that the PFC secondary injector driver crapped out? I guess its time to make some calls and borrow an ECU.

Its possible but the fact that the power fc resets when it happens is another issue.
