Autometer guage tech
IM GETTING MINE INSTALLED TODAY AT 6
I HAVE THE SAME GAUGES, I INSTALLED THEM ON MY T2
LIKE 3 YRS AGO SO I DONT REMEMBER HOW TO DO IT THAT MUCH
SO A FREIND WILL INSTALL,AIR/FUEL IS EASY RIGHT TO THE O2 SENSOR
ON DOWNPIPE

For the boost gauge: Run the nylon tubing supplied into the engine compartment (your choice on where) and attach it to the spare nipple on the left side of the Upper Intake Manifold (the big silver thing in the very back of the engine compartment that the air goes into). If it has lighting, just splice into a ground and power somewhere (the ashtray light is a good spot, that way your gauge lights dim with everything else)
A/F Meter: Same deal with the lighting wires. For the third (usually purple) wire, just splice into the ecu harness behind the passenger kick panel. Check Rob Robinette's site for which wire. I believe it is the black wire on the second connector from the bottom, but it's been a while.

when you say o2 sensor, do you mean right on it or to the harness of it?
lost time
thanks alot for your help, well understood...do you know how to wire it to the sensor instead of the ecu?

Youll want to wire it inside the car near the computer. You DO NOT want to wire it directly to the o2 sensor in the engine compartment.

How to Tap Into the O2 Sensor at the ECU to Install an Air/Fuel Gauge
I asked this question a couple of weeks ago and didn’t get an answer so I dug out the Shop Manual while installing an HKS FCON and looked for the oxygen sensor wire at the ECU. I wanted to tap into the O2 sensor at the ECU to install a Cyberdyne/Intellitronix air/fuel meter. The O2 sensor wire is a solid black wire on the only 16 conductor ECU connector. The ECU is located behind a plastic panel next to the passenger’s right foot. The Shop Manual calls the O2 wire 3C. When viewing the connector from the wire end and with the locking clip on top, it is the second wire from the right on the top row (it’s the only solid black wire on the connector). I put a wire tap that accepts a blade type male connector on wire 3C so I could easily remove the wire it later.

No, all you have to do is
1) Remove the passenger kick panel
2) Remove the correct harness (1 out of 4) on the back of the ECU
3) Tap into that line. You can get simple line tap/splicers from Radio Shack. That is what I did when I did my Turbo Timer. If you have an APEX turbo timer, you are tapping into the same line it does for the O2 sensor. If you need to know the wire, do a search on Turbo Timer and Primer. You will find my post, and it includes wiring diagrams of the ECU/ECU harness.

Also, there is something called the Internet.
It was invented by Al Gore
, a man who's integrity is unmatched amongst modern politicians,
with the exception of Gary Condit
, James Trafficant
and Bill Clinton
.
The Internet contains many company websites. One of these is Autometer
