Autometer electronic water temp gauge?

I just want to know the best location to insert the thermostat in? Is there a particular place i can drill, or even better, can i just screw it in somewhere that's already pre-threaded. thanks a lot for you help.

I drilled and tapped the flat part on the front of the thermostat housing. From what I've read it's one of the better places as far as flow is concerned.
