automatic transmission code 57

Any folk wisdom on whether this will heal itself with fresh tranny fluid cleaning up the inner workings?

Does it call for a tranny shop repair,
or a tranny replacement?

that is usually a wiring issue. time to get a test light/multi meter and start looking. the fsm has a diag flow chart you can run through on pg. k-225
