Automatic Tranmission Cooler

Has anybody tried making the automatic transmission cooler an auxilary or secondary radiator? I had an automatic and went through the 5-speed conversion and now this piece is extra. I'm thinking of routing some lines to create a secondary cooling item. Has anybody had experience with this?

It's way too small to be of any use for the radiator. Oil cooler is a good idea, if you can do the plumbing.
