automatic engine conversion

I am converting an engine from an automatic FD to stick-shift duty.

Is there a flywheel that will bolt-on using the automatic's flywheel flex-plate mount but still work with my manual tranny ?

In short, I don't want to crack/loosen that large 54mm nut for the eccentric shaft just to replace the flywheel.

And if I can get a slightly lighter one, so much the better.

:-) neil

Any lightened flywheel uses the Auto. counterweight. Just unbolt the flex plate and bolt the lightened flywheel in its place.

If I use the stock 5-speed flywheel, I'll have to crack the nut, correct ?

Yes, and then you'd want to replace the rear main seal while you are at it.

Didn't you ask a very similar question the other day?
