Automatic to 5 Speed conversion...

Finally about to do what's been needing to be done for years and swapping my Auto out for a 5 speed! I've been doing some searches on here gathering tidbits of info, but I really need some additional help here.

Does someone have a link to a thread or know where I can find a COMPLETE list of parts needed? It would help me out immensely if I can score that. I am just getting started and have NOTHING.

Also, some advice on parts that I can upgrade with VS. using OEM would be extremely helpful as well. Thanks! My car will be pushing around 350 whp when I'm done, so whatever will properly support that.

Pedals, Shifter, shift boot, trans, clutch assy, flywheel, clutch master and slave, diff, driveline, starter.

I think you can mod your wiring harness to work.

I'm actually getting ready to do the swap in a couple of weeks and have upgraded to a lighter flywheel, a better clutch and a PFC, everything else is OEM. I might pick up a short shifter later, but for now I think I'll use the stock unit (as it came with the transmission). The thread that probably helped me the most would be this: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/93-fd3s-auto-manual-swap-step-step-925872/#post10259138

And if you are going to be using the auto harness, here's a post that explains it in better detail. https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...4&postcount=17

Hope that helps.

For you guys that're in the process, I have everything I need to get started, but my only question now is about all the bolts for the transmission housing, flywheel, pressure plate and shifter. Where are you guys getting all the bolts? Are you using whatever you pull off the automatic parts?

I bought my flywheel and pressure plate bolts from Mazdatrix. I'm not really sure if the A/T bolts will fit, but it's probably not that expensive buying it from the dealer. Mine came with the transmission so I didn't need to get any.

Ok I'll check MazdaTrix, I think Racing Beat sells bolts too. I'll have to look up the part numbers for the shifter and bellhousing bolts.
