Auto window down on 93 model

I know the 93s don't have the auto down function, so I was wondering what is all involved in making it function like the 94/95 auto-down window switch.. It is as simple as just getting an auto-down switch from a 94/95 and dropping it into place?

I dissasembled the door on the '94... the switch physically sticks, so if you get a '94 + switch you should be fine... I'd sell / use mine except one of the plastic pins that holds it securely in the door broke...
But I'll let you know if I get another switch...

I am assuming an IQ900 is an alarm? I was wondering more along the lines of whether or not a switch from the 94/95 could drop in and be used for this, or if further modification would be needed. Thanks!

So it is only dependant on the switch itself? That would be excellent if I could just snag one from a 94/95 and drop it in to make it work. Thanks for the info!

So you would like the windows to go down when you arm/unarm the car? Or are you talking about the power windown button on the drives side door that allows you to push it once, let go and the windows goes the rest of the way down by itself?

I am talking about pushing the button once and it goes all the way down, instead of holding it there. It's not a huge deal, but my other vehicle does it and once you get used to it, it becomes a nuisance.

Dunno about the Mazda's, but on the Hondas, you need the switch but you also need a different regulator (the thing that actually makes the window go up and down.)

Just the switch should do, you could also rig some stuff up from parts from radio shack or buy something like this from autoloc.

My 93 R1 has a push once power window switch and it goes all the way down. I thought they all have that function. Anyway it should just be that switch on the door. Replace it with one that sticks.
