Auto trans, 4.33, speedometer

I was thinking about installing the 4.33 ring and pinion in my seven. I'm worried about the speedometer and how off the speed reading will be. Is there any way to resolve this issue? Will a apex-i rev/speed meter do anything? Thanks- Clayton T.

you will see a 10% speed difference using a 4.33 over the stock 3.90 rear end ratio. for example, if your speedo says 66mph, you are actually going 60mph. i put in a 4.10 and was impressed and happy with the change in response and acceleration and top end speed really is not affected too much (also consider how many times you take it all the way out to maximum speed). the 4.33 will definitely be a kick *** combination.

there are devices that correct this speedo readout difference for electronic speedometers. heres a link to one such device.
