My friend is doing the swap for me and we decided to just rewire the auto harness to be compatible for the 5 speed. I think by doing it this way only like 4 wires need to be messed with. I think you need to mess with the 1-2 switch, clutch switch, neutral switch and I think the starter switch. Any other ones ? You will have to configure the harness to work with the 5 speed. How exactly does one go about rewiring those specific wires.. I have a 2 5 speed main engine wiring harnesses. One of them is kind of messed up so we are going to use wires off that to rewire the auto harness. Would we just find the wires and just rewire it and plug it into the right places? My friend knows about wiring etc, but im just trying to understand this and maybe get some extra info just in case for future reference.
