Not only are finding all the parts a hassle, but the swap itself is a complete bitch.
Unless of course you have your own shop/lift/awesome tools.
If you doing it on jackstands with no air tools you'll be HATING life. With that pig *** auto in there, there is not much room at all to work around...
So unless your comfortable with tackling such a big job on your own I'd advise you just try to find a 5spd.

I've never done the swap so I can't speak from experience on how hard it is but like skunks said, why don't you just skip all the nonsense and get a 5 speed to begin with. Not to mention 12k for an auto with over 100k on the speedo is a horrible price. Not to many people are trying to buy auto FDs. I see them sell on ebay all the time for 2/3 -3/4 what a similar 5speed would go for.

It doesn't seem hard. I'm planning on doing it myself with some airtools on some jackstands in my friend's garage. (it costs too much to get a shop to do it.) One thing I will agree on, getting the parts together is a PITA. If my motor wasn't going bad I would have sold the car and looked for a 5 speed. Now the disparity between selling my car for peanuts and buying a standard car and rebuilding the motor and doing the swap myself is just too much. (Swap is coming in 6 months.)
PS: Does anyone know if I have to cut anything to get the clutch/brake pedal assemblies in? I'd assume so... I hate cutting things...

they make a f-ing manual fd. find one and buy it. if you happen to love your auto body/motor great swap it. i just think if you are asking if it is going to be hard you are already over your head.

Also, unless your a yoga guru, with 10+ socket extensions and swivel sockets, plan on a solid hour of back breakin cussing getting the old brake pedal and installing the clutch and new brake pedal.......They're a PITA to R&R.

If you tons to spend and planning to make a full blown uncompromising race car ,yes. Try doing a search on them first. They aren't really meant for street use. There durablity life isn't much to praise either.
