Question Auto to manual conversion help... 99.9% done! >_<

Ok guys, I need your help... Especially cover8, ejmack1, and raptor as I know ya'll have running converted 5speed FDs...

So I've done all the big stuff including a few extras like single turbo, bigger injectors, exhuast, and power fc. Everything seemed to match up easily, even the pedal assembly already has a place on the firewall that's just capped off. And in fact, the only problem I have left is wiring...

Ok, so we've replaced the x-03 harness (under the dash) and the engine harness with the manual versions of both. However the x-05 harness (front harness) is still the auto version and I really don't want to buy a manual one for 450 from the dismantler. So my question is how do I get the x-05 harness to plug into the power fc and work with the other two harnesses. is there something I'm missing? (I've heard talk of a "ring" harness... what's that?) I searched this and I actually found a few threads that applies to this very problem... but I can't understand it for the life of me as I'd just be relaying the info to the shop that's performing the conversion. (the links are below) Any help would be appreciated guys and thanks in advance. If anyone would be willing to walk me and the shop guys through this procedure that would be awesome and please PM or e-mail me at Nader_Shokair@sbcglobal.net and I'll give you my cell #.

Oh, cover8 and ejmack1, I e-mailed you both... hope you got it!

Here's what I've found so far...

Ok, I'll try to help. I don't know what you mean by X-05 harness, but X-05 is a connector and it doesn't plug into the PFC(or ECU). The 4 ECU connectors stay the the same place auto or manual. The X-05 from the manual harness must be converted to plug into the X-05 EM auto harness that is above the ECU. Check out your 2nd thread there, it explains it all.

ok so what I understand is, after changing the dash harness (x-03) and the engine harness so that they are both manual, the manual plug (x-05 I'm assuming) on the dash harness must be converted to plug into the x-05 EM auto harness that eventually wraps around the front of the car. Is this correct? If so, what plugs into the PFC? and will the plugs themselves fit each other to mate the dash and front harnesses? Basically, I'd like to know what connects to what if that's possible... Thanks for the point in the right direction Zvon13b
