Auto assistance = name this connector
Hey guys need a little help. Here is the nine pin connector that sits behind the starter and connects the tranny wiring harness to the ECU. I cannot remember where the single connector w/ the red wire goes. See picture included. Thanks in advance.

Yep automatic tranny. This connector is not on a manual. ECU currently has an open circut, which leads me to belive it is a ground. They generally have a spade connector to fit on it. After several attempts to find it I figured I'd ask. Worst case senario is that I blow a fuse grounding it to the body, but I would really like to know where it goes.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I believe there was a recall harness for the auto tranny cars - it was a small adapter like what's pictured with a new wire going to the starter solenoid. The problem was the starter's wiring would heat soak and the car wouldn't start when warm.
Easy way to test that - plug that harness in, unplug the starter solenoid's connector, put a multimeter on that spade connector in the harness, and have a buddy turn the key to Start. If you see 12v with the key only at the Start position, there ya go.

The connector that goes to the starter solenoid is this one. (excuse the condition, had slight fire during an unflooding procedure)
The one he pictured sits directly behind the starter, I cannot tell where the lead goes from up top if. I can get my car in the air soon I could find out.
