Btw guys, weather is looking AWESOME so far, Sunny and high of 78 degrees for the day of the event

 

How will the whole day be planned out? I saw the schedule, but I mean will the daily events take place in between track sessions? My parents are coming up with their Camaros for the track day. I'm curious if they will be able to swing by the area and check out everything that is going on.

Signed up for the track day..

 

Here is this year's flyer drawn up by our very own Thomas '20B Dreams' Frascone, and a big shout out to Benny 'Bubble Tech' Muibubbles for again allowing the use of his rotor graphic as the backdrop.

The event is right around the corner, and many owners of FDs, FCs, and RX-8s at Rotorfest told me they plan on attending

 

Awesome! Can't wait to see some of you NE rotorheads! Ill bring some DGRR shirts to be raffles off and some other goodies I have.

 

There have been some recent requests for a timeline..... for those looking to come later in the day, you can still catch most of the fun stuff like the raffle and car show results in the afternoon

 

Certificates for some of the prizes being raffled off

 

Is it possible to exchange for a FC equivalent? (IE: sakebomb garage FC headlights, FC BNR turbo...etc) If not I will stick with the smaller raffles.

 

The guys cant make it as they have a birthday party at Rauls house that weekend.My engine on the BMW is sorta dead,as im working as fast as possible to put the head back together to make it there this weekend.Even if I have to rent a car I will be there though.Cant miss this for nothing....Kind of a promise ive made to myself for Chris.

I want a ride in the 900 mile FD... I got to smell the interior at IRP and i'll be dammed if it didn't still smell like a new car.

 

drift sequence, the turbo isn't FD specific, but the SBG Lights have already been constructed specifically for this event.

As the day draws near, some more information.....

If you have an easy-up tent, consider bringing it with you.

Likewise, it's a very good idea to bring a few folding/camping chairs with you as there will be some down time/relaxation time

Lastly, the Comfort Inn and Suites is 100% booked for the event, a lot of folks are planning to register the day of the meet so I'm anticipating good attendance

As an alternate hotel, anyone needing a place to stay either friday or saturday look into the Best Western, located 6 miles from the track:

First come first serve. I have an extra hotel room at Comfort Inn i'm going to be giving up since I can't track the car as I'd originally planned to.

Hit me up with a text on my cell and we can coordinate calling over to change the reservation over into someone elses name.

If i don't have a response by late tomorrow I'm just going to drop the room.

 

I will be attending and a judge at the car show. My wife and I will be attending with our Jack Russell terrier "Libby"

Update from the owner of TrackTime4Cars

For those getting on track, the track opens it's gates at 7am, and tech also begins at 7am sharp. There will be a driver's meeting at 8:15, and we'll be on track starting at 8:40. 20 minute run groups all day until 5:30 cold.

There are garages available with electricity for $25 for the day, to reserve one send an email to Barb@teampromotion.com

Lastly, the price remains a screamin' deal at $200 with the walk-in rate (day of) being $225.

 

One other random reminder...... if you have a spare helmet, bring it with you. This group (unlike most out there) allow at-speed ride alongs for those that have proven they don't need an instructor
