Im back sorry, ive been away doing some training in cali the past month.... Well my car has been having some problems (94 fd) started before i left to cali about a month ago, car started smoking after traveling my normal everyweekend drive back home, and it smelled like oil... first time i ever had that problem, and ever since ive had a slooow oil leak, when you look underneath the car, its got oil everywhere underneath, but my oil level stays full, my car sat for a month, and barely a quarter of oil leaked out.... anyways i took it to the mazda dealer, and they gave me a list of 10 diffrent things, including my turbos, all adding up to 3400 bucks!! for a oil leak??? then me and my cousin looked underneath the car at his shop and noticed the oil pan had mazda stickers on it and the oil paned had been replaced already not too long ago, but whoever did the install on that used apl some type of cheap silicone sealant, and thats what we thhink it might leak from, there is still oil everywhere on the under carriage, but mainly on the oil pan, so maybe getting a new oil pan gasket put on there might do the trick? what do you think? an other problem is when i boost high on 2nd gear 3rd and sometimes 4th there is a beap coming from the engine compartment, beep stops when i shift... im only boosting 10psi, anyone please help me, know how to aproach this problem? thank you very much.... my mods:

Dont really have time for a long reply but ill say this...Ive always had better luck with RTV to seal up the pan. I wouldnt use a gasket, if either surface is a little off you will have a leak. Just do a nice bead of rtv and it should be nice and leak free.
You could also try to clean up all the oil under the car and then look everyday and try to get a better idea where the oil is comming from...

From what I've read, you shouldn't use a gasket. Here's a write up on the oil pan removal and replacement.
