ATLANTA FDs???

Hey everyone. How's it goin'?

My name is Jason. I am new to the forum and new to ATLANTA. I currently own a 05' 350Z touring and a 04' crew CAB TUNDRA 4WD LTD/TRD. I used to own an 85' GSL named ROXY, a 97' Mustnag COBRA, a 91' MX-5, a 91' MAXIMA SE and a host of other various sedans and coupes... blah, blah, blah.

I said all of that just to show ya'll some of my vehicle pedigree; it's all over the place.

Since 92' when I read a C&D mag and a R&T mag about the new FD RX-7, I have been seriously following the ups and downs of this amazing track car for street. I've been wanting one ever since, never being able to find one worthy enough to buy or even being able to test drive one. It seems the individuals I have come across did not want me test driving their car, for fear of joy-riding and abuse. So I have never even been able to even sit in a FD for more than 30 seconds, of which I will remember every second of that passionate yet brief encounter.

I drove an 89 GSl once, but it was on it's last leg to begin with and on it's way to a V8 swap. Beside the 2nd Gen RX-7 is nothing to compare to an FD I am sure.
So to this date... never had the sheer joy of driving an FD.

Now I live in ATLANTA and the finances are right to begin searching again. I think I might have found a quality low mileage FD, but to my demise....
"no test drives available!!!"

My request from anyone willing to participate is this... please let me test drive your FD. Considering I have never been able to drive this amazimg 2800lbs rocket, I am hoping and praying someone will have the compassion to allow me to drive their FD and give me some FD education.

What do you say?

Thanks!

go to the person selling the car, have cash in hand, wave it in their face, tell them you DESERVE a test drive. a stock FD not that crazy of a car, you as the buyer have the right to drive the car and make sure everything operates correctly before paying for it.

The FD I am looking at is slightly modded. I have the cash for the purchase.

RX-7 owners that I have encountered are weird about their cars. I mean I've driven more exotic cars, so what's the BIG deal?

Thanks for the advice.

Still looking to drive one.
