atkins themral pellet

Hi guys i just came across the atkins themral pellet,, i understand exactly what it does,,, Im just wanting to know is it a worth while mod or does the standard thermal control never fail so its a waste of time??

I got one with my master rebuild kit from atkins, but i think pineapple as a cheaper option for this. Search it, but I think what they do is take the stock thermalwax and put 3- 5/16" washers and it keeps it opened all the time so you don't have to worry about it failing.

So basically, do you want to spend 50 cents or 10 dollars to accomplish this mod?

Search it out though because i only saw it once and I'm not positive.

I have not seen one fail on the FD. However, that's not to say it doesn't or can't happen. I believe Kevin at RotaryResurrection uses it on every motor he builds.

Yeah, i did mine just as a precautionary mod, and it was already in kit.
