Did Mazda change the AST design in the post 2000 fd's? Could find no old threads on the subject and was asked the question and did not know. Pics online seem to be stock plastic AST. Assuming they did not is the newer plastic AST - post 2000 production date likely to be any better than its 10 year old sibbling?
