AST and Overflow tank Question

My RX-7 has been "using" coolent. I filled the AST all the way up and it started to drain into the overflow tank. I did not know it would do that and now my coolent overflow tank is leaking through the hole on the top. The hole is about a 1/4 inch wide. I'm going to pull my wheel of and get a better look at the tank. Any thoughts...

I checked my overfloow tank and it was fill to the top. I pulled it out and cleaned it and put the correct level of coolent in it. Filled the AST three-forths full.
