ARC Rad = $1000.00...????? Why??
I was just curious, what makes the ARC radiator worth a grand? I mean. . . . . . can there really be that much technological improvement in a radiator to warrant a $600 increase over the Fluidynes and Koyo's out there already....??? What puts this part above the rest to warrant a $1000 pricetag? Does it only cost that much so that the consumer can say "I spent a grand on a radiator thats JDM."?
Just curious, as that price seems a little outrageous for a radiator. I read the ARC pamphlet that is given to all tuner shops, and the Engrish is a little to hard to comprehend (which says something, as I am Asian myself, and deal with Engrish on a daily basis). Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Yea, I got that memo from Lumburgh last week about JDM adding 40 more hp, but with the new coversheets it was upped to 45 IIRC. I know ARC makes good quality stuff. . . . . but to spend $400 more on a radiator. . . . . I can understand on their front mount intercoolers. . . . . well. . . .no I cant
I was just flipping thru all of our new nifty catalogues and brochures, and was like. . . . . . wtf? And the hell of it is, thier stuff sells like hotcakes. . . . .

Its not better than the fluidyne, koyo ect. It costs more because of shipping, import/customs fees from japan and then the middle man who imports it put a nice mark up on them. If you go to arcs page and got the yen price and converted it, it woudl be around 500bucks.

i tend to disagree..ARC makes HIGH quality products, so high that their radiators are the only upgrade you need on a stock FD to run in the low 9's in the 1320..no, but their products usually go for 100+ over regulrs(like an ARC intercooler is about 1700 while the same design interooler from blitz is 1100..go figure)

For no good reason, radiators in Japan seem to cost more than we would typically pay in the US for a radiator. Dunno if there's a tax on them or what.
Anyhow, nothing special in particular I'd think.
