APEXi Power Intake

I just installed a Power Intake (used) and have a few questions. I noticed one of the pipes off of the back intake (connecting to the rear turbo) was capped off and seemed to have wanted to connect to the second stock BOV (see attached pics) I wanted to know if this is correct.

Second, is the intake shroud needed now that the stock airbox is removed? I figure it's still bringing in air from the nose and must still prove to be usful.

I've noticed a drop in peak boost from .93 bars in 3rd to .80 since the intake install. Is this common?

The stock BOVs seem much louder since the new intake, is this due to the baffling effect of the stock airbox?

Last, can the Power intake be used with the M2 Medium IC? It seems the front intake pipe bends toward the intercooler and I'm not sure if there's clearance for a new IC unless the M2 is located closer to the nose than the stock. I relize there are a lot of questions here, and any answers would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance!

sorry I cant help you with your question but I have one for you. Did you buy your Apexi intake with that short ram an how much was it. Also did it replace the hose that goes to the airpump. I see that it replaced the hose going to the turbos.

I bought the intake used with all of the hoses included for $150(except the one mentioned in my earlier post which I ASSUMED went to the rear BOV.) I don't think they usually come with the hoses, it just happened that the person was going single and no longer needed them. Even gave me an extra BOV.. I'm not sure what you mean by "short ram", but the intake replaces the larger intake pipes (the accordion style hoses that go to the turbos) with coupled steel pipes. Though I do wish the front intake piece was straight rather than bending toward the intercooler..

That hose goes to the charge relief valve and you have it hooked up right.

Distance from air filter to front hood support

What is the distance from the lower air filter on your setup to the front hood support (where the relay strip is mounted with a/c relay in it) Measure from the furthest forward point of the filter.

There is a group buy going on of a kit I build that mounts closer to the nose than the M2 and I will tell you if it will fit. There are pics of the kit and discussion going on in the Vendors/ Group Buy/ SMIC Intercooler.
