Anyway to tell if an ECU is from CA?
I just bought a used, remapped ECU. Is there anyway of telling if it's from a CA car? On the back, it has:
N3C1
EGI
NC31 18 881A
079700-4701
12V
DENSO
*004701C*
Thanks

For 1994,
N3A3-18-118B Calif MT
N3A4-18-881C Calif AT
N3C1-18-881A Fed MT
N3C2-18-881A Fed AT
You got a federal MT ECU there, Brian.

when i bought my car in CA i noticed that the original title said that the car was in TN. i am assuming that this is not a CA car then and i have the FED ECU and not the wimpy ECU. my question is, what is the advantage of the NON-CA ECU???
