anyway to clean the stock cat?
hey, i have a midpipe on right now, but i have MAD BOOST CREEP!!! so i was thinking about putting my friends stock cat back on, problem is that i don't have a air pump anymore. otherwise anyone know how to gut the cat? at least that would give it a little more back pressure than the pipe i have on there now. i was thinking about just pouring a whole bunch of thinner, or gasoline down the cat to kinda clean it out... i won't have to use it for a real long time, maybe two months or so, but i am just sick of not being able to get on the car at all!

Installing a gutted cat won't help with your boost creep. You can install the cat without the airpump but you are taking the glamble that it won't clog for the time you have it on. It will clog, its just a matter of when.

thats what i figured... so if i pour a bunch of gas or thinner down the cat it would clean it up a lil bit right? i don't drive the car everyday... but when i do i like to drive it good... guess i'll do that and hope for the best!

Get a good boost controller and you won't have boost creep. You shouldn't have a problem after that especially in the warmer weather. When I used to have the stock twins, I ran a full exhaust with no problems. I had the Power FC and profec b boost controller.
Gutting you car won't help at all. Good luck
