Anything stronger than Super Glue or Epoxy?

The latch on my glovebox broke, so rather than buying a new one I seperated the inner plastic from the face part and fixed it. Now I need to glue it back together. Does anyone know of a glue for ABS with a strong bond that doesn't take 4 hours to set? Thanks in advance.

Super glue should work great as long as the parts fit tightly. You can also use 5 minute two part epoxy.

I bought a new one from Mazda, but I think the material is like the tool dip stuff that you buy at Lowe's or Home Depot. Try that first.

For stuff like that, I use regular 2 part epoxy in a tube for initial bonding, then use clay bar type(for lack of better description) 2 part epoxy to add mechanical strength. Clay bar type epoxy is much stronger than liquid/gel type when set. It can also be formed into shape without running, build up thickness, sanded, and painted.

JB Weld makes a "quick cure" formula that is done in about 5 mins. I've used it and it seems to work just as good, but it doesn't smell nearly as good as the original.

Why can't you wait for 4 hours? It's not like the car won't start, run, and drive with no glovebox .

Shoot, I'd just do it at night and let it cure overnight while you sleep.

why not just use a dab of superglue to set it in place and then use jbweld to reinforce it?
