Hey all..

I dont have access to a workshop manual at this time, and don't know if it would even offer the information I am looking for.

I need to know the distance from the end of the input shaft of the stock 3rd Gen tranny, to the Top Center of where the shifter is located in inches.

Or at least to the end of the input shaft to the case side.

Does the manual have this? Anyone have a transmission laying around that can measure this?

If you go to your local mazda dealership, talk to the parts dude, ask for a print-out of area you are working on. They were happy to do it for me.

I can try this sometime when I get off from work, but I didn't know if they knew the exact dimensions or not.. I know a lot of people have workshop manuals, and also didn't know if its illustrated in there.

If anyone knows, please jump in!
