turbojeff, dont get me wrong, I am not saying that you are wrong. I just know that there wasnt a shop that did this. This is how the car was purchased. Is there any other explanation for this. Ths is not fabricated materials either. From my years working in car stereo, this stuff looks OEM to me. I dunno, you are probably right. Maybe my car is from the twilight zone. ****, maybe if I get the turbo's to work right it'll make 355 hp. Well, dont know about that but... I am going to try to research some more and look for an explanation..

your seats actually look nice than turbo jeff's

if they install like the factory seats, you should be able to take the seats out and replace it with the bins and stuff,

i wouldn't mind taking the seats of your hands if thats the case, my in back and bins are tan, which match the sides even though the console is black

Well do some research and see what you find.

If you don't think a shop did that then pull them out and see what you think. Take pics and show us, I'd be interested in what the back sides look like.

You don't have any seatbelts back there and there aren't any holes for them. Take another look at mine. Seatbelts are OEM.

Good luck.

Jeff

damn, thats too bad. i think that your custom rear seats actually look nicer than the jdm seats... i would trade you right now if they were black. black interior with tan rear seats probably wouldnt match too well.

I have set aside some time for my baby today. While the oil is draining I will take the back seats apart to see what I can find out. The upper part of the seats is coming out regardless. I think that I am going to build a board to go thre and mount some speakers, almost like the Dodge Viper Set up, I will show you the pics, maybe tonight, most likely tomorrow.

Yeah, those seats do look custom, very nice. I like the black trim. Kind of weird that the seat backs have bench seat-like horizontal surfaces. It looks like a sofa!!

I must say those were originals at some point of time. Looks like the upholstery place also did a terrible job at it also. When they redid it they changed the sewing pattern a bit for the worse, I've seen custom seats-from scratch that look 10X better than that crap. The original J-spec seats only came in vinyl and fabric trust me I see them here in the UK all the time+I have also bought them and installed them myself. I'll post some pics of some custom ones that are positioned slightly differently and have more room and look totally stock-sewing pattern is even the same as the front stockers. Wait a couple of days.
