Anyone using HKS F-CON V (not pro)

Hi there,

I have a 1993 R1 with DP, intake, cat-back, EBC and the HKS F-CON V.
The early F-CON's were black with white lettering.
Mine looks the same as the F-CON V pro (alu case with black lettering) but it doesn't say "PRO".

The previous owner of the F-CON V told me I had to buy an FCD with this F-CON V. I bought one and connected it correctly AFAIK.

The car is not driveable with the FCD connected. It hesitates badly. Yesterday, I put the FCD in the 0 position (off) and put the EBC at 14 psi.

While I did push it hard, I got no fuel cut.

Does this mean I do not need the FCD ????
Should I get fuel cut at 14 psi ?

What is the best way to check if it still goes into fuel cut or not ?

Thanks !

I have the black HKS FCON. with the FCD. I went to HKS website and got the phone # to their techs, and asked them what settings should they be set at. Tell them your mods. The one i have, has a chip (ROM)that is programmed for what ever set up your running, and there's 2 switches inside and a dial that can turn from 1-10. Then the FCD has a dial aslo. When i was running mine before i called HKS, i was playing with it,and would get bad studders. Which is to much fuel. I also down loaded the installation instruction of their web site. I would keep the FCD and No you shouldn't hit fuel cut.
