teamstealth---Actually everyone and their mother is selling them over here. I mean most pictures dont show the under parts of the cars you know, same as like with the fender braces.

Granted the question:

Do you have underbraces?
Do you have a big turbo?

I mean which one would you ask more hypothetically speaking of course..

Most people dont get into under body things.

Stronger PPF---Not really popular (good?)

Most people and I would say including myself depending a lot on your age group and goals I would say most of us are into VISUAL effects/aids.

Ok if you see 2 suspensions one is a ***** brown/neon pink color and very functional and the other is a bright clean blue/chrome but just ok, which do you pick? "this isnt to be answered just an example"

EXAMPLE:
This mod isnt a VISUAL mod, so most people wont like it. I rememeber everyone hated black incoolers since they dont look cool and shinny, but the black just might be more functional.

Im still on stock sway bars--they do alright I think. Toe links, trailing arms, sus etc is aftermarket though.

Anyway doesnt bother me either way, Im kind of curious WHAT, if anything does happen. I do find it hard to believe so many companies here would sell it, if there wasnt some cash or performance gains by selling it.

I will bring a set next sevenstock or next time im in cali let one of the guys there throw it on their FD if they like or FC, since those are available and then write a little review about it.

exactly, even someone with half good fab skills, a MIG welder, and some cold rolled steel could make these braces

JTImports, thats what i wanted to know. I do agree that most people are into visual mods, but if everyone and their mother is selling them then it seems there is benefits to it. I just think that $720 is a little extravagant

EDIT: Yes back to the topic.....who has them? what improvements did you notice? and is it worth the $720 or would you have rather had someone fab you some very similar pieces?

I have the Auto-Exe brace...on the garage floor.
I need to put them on the car at some point. But I have a few other things I gotta do on the car first. I'll report my impressions once the brace is installed.

I'm young (17) but I'm more performance/functionality oriented.

hehe cool.... Glad to hear it....

I like a little bling bling too, but im not all about it..

Thats why I have fender stiffeners, once my fender goes on I might even forget I have them because I cant see them, but i think the performance gain on the track might be nice...

By age group that has nothing to do with young or old.

A Japanese magazine OPTION did a write up on it a while back, it was very interesting and for the most part true. These arent quote, but something like they said.

18-20----aero
20-24----engine
24-26---suspension

and so on... I thought it was kind of funny since I always see it and it was like I said for the MOST PART true.. Even for myself.

I dont remember the exact ages and stuff, i know I kept the magazine, but I have about 100 magz so it might take about a year to find it. hehe

I have a prioritized list of parts and there's no aesthetic mods on it.

All the body parts I plan on getting are functional anyways like the RE diffuser.

I've got an older FEED underbody brace, it's similar in design to the Mazdaspeed, but doesn't attach in as many places.

I could totally tell the difference. I wouldn't say night and day, but it is noticable.

what did you give for the FEED ones? and do you think that money could have been better spent on other suspension mods?

From osdesigns.com back in the day.

I'd do other upgrades first, but when theres nothing left to upgrade, why not?

Besides, its a FD, its not like $500 here or there is going to hurt you, if it is, you shouldn't be driving this car.

thats where i stand right now. Its a good mod and its worth doing, BUT i think other mods should come first.

I guess it depends on what you're going for. Some people like power, some like handling.

I'm a freak about body stiffness and suspension.

Any one who installed AutoExe braces had fittment problems??? I 've read in an American site that they are supposed to fit '94+ FDs and on the official Autoexe site that they fit '97+ FDs.....

WOW man, thread from the WAYYYYYY DEAD...

Yeah 97+ weird, nothing different in a 97 vis a 92, so thats weird. Im sure if it does say that and you call, they will say all FDs, maybe they only go back 10 years?

You went back more then 3 hehe
