Anyone tested the ignition coils?
So i'm trying to track down my ignition problems...New plugs and wires went in but didn't help. Trying to test the coils and i'm not getting something. Test A-B on T1 and Leading coils fine, but not A-T or L1 - L2 , i just can't get a reading. Do you just cram the contact points inside the coil? or would it be better to plug in the wires and test at the wires instead of the coil?
Here's the page from the manual that i'm using...
thanks a ton! hope this is it, the igniter test looks like a PITA...

for AT, you woudl get nothing becasue it is infinite resistance. so look sgood there. fo rinfinite resistance you shoudl get same reading as when you hold the two leads in the middle of the air. for L1-L2 you shoudl get specified resistance, try changign the range on your voltmeter if it is digital, maybe it isn't sensitive enough.

KZ1, yeah the L1-L2 is what i'm having problems getting the reading on and it is also where i suspect my problem is.
voltmeter is on 200, and i can get the <1 reading on the A-B test. so you really just stick em in there? cause thats what i tried. dang, hoped i was missing something obvious.
car just whirrs and backfires when i try to start it. leading plugs were pretty badly fouled when i pulled em. did a pressure test on the coolant system and that was fine. recently got new secondaries and a supra fuel pump. car ran great for two days then no start. now i'm here.
also can't get the dang intake manifold off to get at the coils to replace -any hidden bolts i'm missing? manual isn't terribly helpful on that one...
tia!

yup, just stick them in there, mak sure you are on right range, the belwo on is for singel ohm measure, theother is in thousands.
to remove UIM, tak off 5 bolts near main gasket. take off bolt behind oil filler neck. take off the coolant hoses from TB, connectors underneath, intake elbow, pressure tank, throttle cable, and yank that **** out!!!!!!
