anyone running intercooler sprayer?
im just wondering who is currently running a nx or NOS intercooler sprayer....i have a greddy 2 row frontmount and planing on getting one of thses kits very soon and would just like to hear pros and cons for the 2 kits.... what are the average degree drops while kit is active you know just ect ect..
unless water/alcy injection kits do a better job at dropping temps....
thanks again

My front mount stays pretty cool then gets re-heated from there on its way back to the engine. My point is shoot the NOS into the engine like way its normal used would be a better use of you money. That would drop your charge temps like a rock. Insulating your return pipes like some here have done would also be good interim step.

Carbon Dioxide is another alternative. I would think it would be cheaper than NOS.
Water/Alcohol would be even less expensive, but I doubt it would acheive the temp drops the others will. I'm making a cheap bastard one using the spray cans used to blow the dust off keyboards. Turn them upside down and they spray out -50 degree liquid. Add a 12 volt solenoid with a pushbutton switch and voila.
It's just an experiment at this point, but I'll be posting results.

I had one . It sucked because it just went to fast. If it really drops a lot in degrees that you will make the air more denser making more boost but you will run lean. Personaly I would have a small wet shot instead of spraying on the intercooler.

Im not so sure on the C02 idea. What normaly happens when people add those intercooler nitrous sprayers is the nitrous is sprayed around the intercooler, cooling your charge temps slightly. But were the hp gains are coming from is the mist from the spray. The claimed 50+hp that the companies claim. CO2 eats oxygen, so that mist is going to make your car slower, I cant remember who did it but there was a back to back test were the same car lost 3hp off the base line using a CO2 sprayer. Im sure if eather had a compleate closed box around the unit they would work great, but id be carefull shooting unmetered air into the car. I think water inj if anything would be the best bet, if thats what you realy need.

Anyone know where I can get a 12vdc adjustable air pressure switch with a range of say 5 - 20 psi?
