Exclamation Anyone replace the lower shock bushing on a Koni?

I'm getting ready to update my front suspension (lower control arms, upper control arms & spindle) and was wondering if anyone has ever replaced that bushing on the bottom of the Koni shock where it mounts into the lower control arm.

I contacted Koni but its a special order part that will take 4-6 weeks for delivery. I'm hoping someone might know of a comparable bushing from Energy or Prothane or another bushing manufacturer. If you do, please share!

Thanks.

If Koni attached mounts to the shock which replicate the stock mounts (so as to fit the stock lower control arm), then you might be able to use a stock lower damper bushing. The part no. is: FD01-34-710A. They are about $35 apiece from Mazda Motorsports or $53 apiece from MazdaPartsCheap.com. I don't know of any aftermarket damper bushings (apart from Koni themselves) because it requires the manufacturer to potentially know which damper you have installed.

Thanks for posting that number. I'm going to try and measure the sizes later tonight. Koni gave me these specs for measurements:

"The bushing is 12mm by 50mm for the steel sleeve section. The OD of the bushing is 40mm though the length of the bushing section you will need I don’t really have though this can be quickly found by measuring the eye you have. "

They are $20 each but require a long 4-6 week lead time...

Konis have a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser......they should swap the shock out for free.
