anyone relocated fuse boxes???

hey, i'm trying to clear up the engine bay and was wondering if anyone had relocated the two main fuse boxes on the driver side of the engine bay. i'd love to move em into the driver side footwell, near that fuse box.
anyone?

Jim LaBreck did this, and a write-up/photos. Available on my site:

http://www.ScuderiaCiriani.com/rx7

Go to How-to --> Electrical --> Fusebox Relo.

Cheers,

Steve

thats pretty cool and a good idea but not what i was looking for. i mean the main one, where the pos battery cable is routed to. the one with the "main" fuse and the other with the egi.

my 240sx friends are crazy enough to do that.... they are also crazy enough to strip an entire car down to nothing and rebuild it.... simply because they are crazy and love 240sx's.... in other words its alot of work and not worth it.... especially if you have a wiring problem and burn down your car

understood its not something to mess with lightly but getting the components out from the heat of the engine bay should be a good thing, also with a relocated battery the pos cable has a shorter run. throw in an easily accessible kill switch and should be safe enough. add a fire extinguisher and i'd be content from the safety standpoint.

guessing the answer is going to be no one's done it and i'm a nut
