BI State Customs are rebuilding twin turbos now for $700. You just send them yours and they will rebuild them and send them back to you. Turnaround is 3 days from when they receive them. They can also upgrade your twins to flow up to 420rwhp.

Meiogirl on the forum got her turbos rebuilt there so you can PM her.

 

I can vouch for Bi-State's work. I had mine done there right before Midwest Revolution (end of April). So when I got the car back it was taken out to Indy and took a beating on the drag and a couple times on the autocross. Thats probably the hardest I could hit ever work those turbos and they are hanging in beautifully.

The secondary is just f-ed. It's almost seized. The primary looks great and has little play. They are still on th emotor, so I'm not sure if they are crakced or not. Just wondering if your have spare parts on hand if they are neccessary.

 

Do they high speed balance them?

 

Mine are at Bi-State as well. Along with my motor.

 

Is their anyone that has gone to theese guys that can share their experiance? especially if you upgraded to 400 hp .

They're working on pricing for their upgraded units right now but I can vouch that the prices will be considerably less than other competitors.

 

does Bi State Customs have a web site??? I was going to send my turbos off to BNR for the Stage 2 or 3 rebuilt but if Bi State is cheaper then I might just change my mind!

 

also what kind of warranty comes with the turbo rebuild. I believe BNR has a 1 year warranty, this could be the deciding factor!

 

They're actually working on a website now so it will be up soon.

BI State Customs also offer a 1 year warranty.

Which seals are you refering to?

With the 400+ package you will get the standard rebuild plus the following.

-Heavy Duty Shaft Ring Seals
-Completely digitally Balanced
-Ported Wastegate
-Turbine Wheels Clipped
-Both of your primary and secondary compressor wheels are upgraded.
-Heavy Duty upgraded thrust bearings
-Both Cartridges are bead blasted and high temp coated

Note: This is not the $700 package, prices for this are soon to come and well worth it.

you see...right now SPOAUTOS on a set of BNR Stage 3's holds the 403rwhp mark...and they proved it with timesheets at the track where he trapped 126 mph in the quarter....can yours do that?

We would all appreciate it if you would do this................. Wouldnt we?...

on another note....if you make a great turbo setup for the rx8 then that car becomes very attractive...long live the rotary! haha
