I picked up an FD last week The owner said the SMIC was a Pettit intercooler. I asked the shop that installed it if it was a Pettit Coolcharge 1 (is that what they called the first version of the SMIC?). They thought it might be that, but they weren't positive.

This is the only picture I have on my work computer. I can take more when I get home if necessary.



It's hard to tell due to the different angles, but it looks slightly different than the Coolcharge 2 on Pettit's website:



So... Coolcharge 1, Coolcharge 2, or some non-Pettit SMIC?

Looks like the new style Pettit Coolcharge II with the Greddy pipe kit.

 

Nice IC RoadRace, and congrats on the car. Noticed the stock AST still in place though, so you might want to check the stickys out for reliability mods.

 

ARC SMIC race version looks similar, but like previously said that is a pettit smic.

Yeah, I will be getting a new AST as soon as possible. Just waiting on a reply from KINETIK_FD3S about the ones he sells
