Anyone know of a street legal single turbo kit?

I know that singles can pass emissions, but are there any that have some sort of carb number (or something else?) that can pass both the emissions and visuals?

Both HKS turbo setups allow you to keep the emissions intact. The T04E being the more streetable of the two. The T51R is a race on setup building full boost at around 5500rpms.

Thanks Ern, but do you know if they will pass the visual inspection? I know GReddy has carb numbers on their some kits (for civics, miatas, etc, but not for the 7) and they will pass visuals. I mean IF they wont & no such single turbo kit exists, I might as well not try to be legal and get the kit I was originally interested in (APEXi since it's ball bearing) and just try to find some guy that will hook it up during the smog test. But I'm trying to be a good boy and play nice with the law.
If thats the case anyone have any advice against the APEXi kit? or reccomendations for other kits? Looking to do this in a couple months so I want to get as much enlightened info as I can.

In the new issue of "turbo", the one with the white supra on the cover, there was a black 3rd gen in there with a t78 and they were making a fuss how it was emissions compliant...

Yea I saw that and it will pass emissions, but not a visual. In California some unlucky souls have to get visual inspections and I've had friends fail because they had aftermarket parts on their car, and NOT because they failed the emissions test.

I can't help you on the visual part because Md doesn't do anything but a sniff test. So Im not sure what would make you fail for a visual, but I do know all emmissions equipment reamains etact with the HKS kits.
