Doesn't that make them a top feed then? Also the connector would be strait and not "L" shaped and that should be obvious with a posted picture. If they are top feed then they are no diffferent then Bosch. If they are side feed but at a much lower rate but higher then 850 then please post results.

Kinsler can test sidefeed. They built a setup at no extra charge when they tested my injectors.

I have them in my car at the moment 850 primary and these 1600 venom seconday and I have 2 spare I am going to get them tested becasue I just found out last night that one of these new injectors was leaking past the o ring something chronic! I think the bottom O rings don't seal properly becase they don't have the extra lip to hold the o ring on like the factory ones, so the can come down and cause them to start leaking, I replaced the injector that was leaking and tested it. Seems to be good, car started straight up after that, how ever I tried to start the car this morning and didn't want to go, I am suspect that it maybe leaking again

Will keep you posted

^ Sounds more like your primary 850's are leaking. Did you do the double o-ring trick or shave the rail?

Yeah shaved the rail, pimaries aren't leaking checked them and it was just one seconday that was. Fixed now, still running rich as which is gay - keeps fouling the plugs.
I've done the 65% and timimg but I can't get it to run right, is running better though but when it hits 3000 - 4000 rpm the exhaust light flashes like mad I take it, it must be an error code.

Still gonna get the 1600cc tested, as soon as I can get my car up to get tuned I'll get the guy to flow test my spares.

Spoolit78 on NoPisSton's forum, parts for sale thread. No results posted or any feedback there either. I guess it's a hoax.

I can attest to the fact that they at least exist

I received mine a few weeks back, and have yet to get mine tested or really even installed for that matter.

I test fitted one into the stock rail, and it was very snug, just like the stock 850's.

I'm still questioning how much/what kind of work Venom actually does in order to call them "their own."

They are green top, which appears to be spray-painted on, rather then the actual color of the molded plastic. They clearly have "Denso" molded into the plastic, with serial number 2370 stamped on top. It would seem that Venom does some of their own machine work on the bodies because there are lathe marks representative of a very quick turning process on one of my pair. Something that the stock injectors clearly do not have. Comparing the two 1600cc injectors I received, side-by-side, you can spot obvious differences in manufacturing quality, which would indicate a smaller job-shop assembly process with less-strict quality control then a huge manufacturer like Denso.

My best gues is that Venom is sourcing some parts from Denso, like the plastic tops/connectors, then manfacturing the actual bodies in-house, along with performing the final assembly. Therefor, I'd believe the earlier sales pitch that basically said there was no chance of these being bored-out stock injectors. I beleive these were built to be 1600cc injectors by Venom.

Just some quick observences from a manufacturing engineer who does not currently work as an engineer

When you installed the injectors, did you coat the o-rings in motor oil or something like Vaseline?? The shop manual tells you to put some engine oil on the injector o-rings prior to installing. The oil will impregnate the rubber, causing the seal to swell slightly - that helps provide a better seal!

Im waiting to get them back, if I can im going to send them somewhere in the states and get them done. I dont know anywhere else here in Ontario that can do them.
I sold the ones I had so I have none left, but im going to try and get these flowed somewhere. Sorry for the delay guys.
Now its exam period so that definitely puts a damper on timing for me.
As I said before, please send them to a reputable place... RC engineering

By what I've heard, they aren't really 1600cc side fed injectors.
But I would like to know that I'm wrong.

They are definately side-feed injectors. The 1600cc part remains to be seen. What have you heard that these injectors really are??

Patience, young grasshopper...

I sent my injectors out to RC Engineering late last week, so I'll be getting them and the much anticipated flow results back later this week!!

I'll go on record as saying, I have no doubt they will flow 1600cc, but the question in my mind is: for how long???

In other words, will they hold up as long as the factory injectors, or will they be susceptible to early failure??

If these acturally flow what it claims and fit into stock rail, this might be a good buy for all the single turbo guys.

Newb question. When you send 'em off for flow testing, to they test how much they flow instantaneously (ie a very short period of time) or do they run tests simulating long term extended use, so you can get an idea of how reliable they are in the long run?

Cuz if you do indeed even have the slightest doubt that they MAY go bad over time, you're running one hell of a risk by finding out w/ them ON your car, dontcha think?

Has anyone else decicded to get theirs flow-tested???

RC Engineering just called me and said the green-top injectors I sent them only flowed at 550cc!!!!

I am going to have RC test them one more time to make sure they didn't mistakenly write down the results from my primaries twice.

I'll hear back from RC a bit later today...

Exclamation hot off the press

I've been on the phone with RC Engineering throughout the afternoon.

Get this: they flow-tested the green-top "Denso" injectors I sent them. Then they performed the flow test again. And the test was performed yet a 3rd time to make sure nothing was done incorrectly, and we were in fact talking about the green-top injectors I sent them.

The same ones I bought from Spoolin Rotary.

The same ones that Venom allegedly builds in-house.

The same ones that were shipped in a box marked HP627-237 1600cc.

All three tests from RC Engineering provided the same flow results:

550cc

I see one of two possibilities:

1) Somehow I was shipped the wrong injectors.
2) Venom is lying about what they are selling.

So anyone else that has a set of these injectors, I'd highly reccomend getting yours flow-tested before blindly believing you have 1600cc secondaries.

I sincerely hope I was just shipped the wrong set, but after mulling it over with RC, even they couldn't think of another vehicle that would need "shorty" side-feed 550cc injectors.

Hes still kicking around the forum, wonder what he will have to say?
Spoolin Rotary Last Activity: Today 10:45 AM

Hopefully it was just some egregious mistake! And he will rectify it immediately!

Hopefully everyone else has tested these before putting them in.
Anyone else have data to support that these are infact 1600s and not 550s?

Makes you kinda wonder if infact these could just be reman 550s board out?

Quick Reply: Anyone heard about these?? Venom 1600cc Side Feed injectors..
