Anyone have upgraded twins from a turbo shop, not one of the rx tuners?

I have recently been talking to a guy at blue ribbon turbo in farmingdale. He claims he can make my twins flow at least 30% better than stock for $1400. He machines them and replaces the stock compressor wheels with larger Garret wheels. Anyone have any experience with anything like this? I was just reading the posts about the M2s and I saw one fella's upgrades blew a lot of oil on 3 seperate occasions. This got me a little worried about doing the upgrade with blue ribbon. Any advice would be apreciated.

yup

ive heard about this...checked into it myself...I spoke with three turbo shops who all refused to do the upgrade any longer as the shafts that hold the wheels are just too thin to handle the weight and force of the larger wheels. they will break.

stock twins are poor in reliability...every shop I speak with complains about them...Ive had three sets. they suck.

if you want to upgrade either go single or go with the m2 ballbearings (mine should be in any time now...but the reviews on them are mixed...Ill find out for myself and post the results)

do not upgrade you twins...you will be out fourteen hundred bucks too soon to make it worth you while.

whats your mod list?? you done the fuel syst yet? how bout ecu and everything else?

PS if the guy is telling you that crap....he hasnt had much experience with those turbos...ask him how long the warrantee is..haha...the only person who is going to suggest tweaking the stock set is either loaded with cash so it doesnt matter if they go bad...or a foo.
