So how did this setup go, all good? Any dramas?

 

 

I don't see any reason that wouldn't work. I've been considering doing that at some point since the later fill neck looks a lot cleaner than the earlier one.

The standard Mazda radiator cap will fit fine. I think the big trick is getting the nipple on the side installed properly and with a tight seal.
