Anyone had trouble fittin air/smog pump in before?

I need some advice if anyone has run in to this problem in the past and been able to work around it somehow. I have HKS aftermarket intakes for my turbos taking up the space where the air pump is supposed to go, and I need to put the air pump in my car to get the car to pass smog. I don't have the stock intakes for the turbos to swap out for the smog test. Has anyone ever been able to put the air pump somewhere else under the hood and had it run just the same? If so, where'd you run the belt from?

Thanks for your help

Heres a pic of the HKS intakes installed on an RX-7 that still has an airpump...

Are you saying your intakes are different then this? If not then you should be able to fit the air pump in there no problem.

If you want to go with another pump, you can sub in a corvette electric airpump just for passing smog. It doesn't require a pulley so you can place it where ever you want.

There is a good write up somewhere for tips and tricks passing smog, just do a search and I'm sure it will turn up.
