I just thought of something...

As per our trusty shop manual, battery voltage is supplied to the fuel pump during acceleration/heavy load. This explains why I see fuel pressure go up to almost 50psi when I begin to hit 5psi of boost, and I'm damn past 55psi when I'm at 10lbs of boost.

So, for anyone that's bored......
Who would like to measure the exact voltage at the pump when boosting past 5psi at WOT?

I'd do it myself, but my fuel pump took a ****

Sorry for the VERY late reply, but 947TT, The K&N is a cleanable filter media that CAN NOT be replaced. It was cleaned less then 8K miles ago. I think it's too small, & just not a every good flowing filter setup so Aeromotive is the way to go here.

Flybye, I've measured the voltage to the pump & it's slightly less then 12V at WOT with the stock wireing. As the car gets hot the voltage drops. This means the pump draws more current with heat (no surprise).

In my car I've been noticing a surging idle, & the pump voltage is surging with the idle. IMO the pump is crapping causing the surging rail pressure.
