How about because none of us get the logic. Let's buy an ageing, no-compromise, expensive-to-repair, impractical car and rice it up? WTF? Why not just pick a Civic like everyone else? Why endure the headache?

Spinners are the pinnacle of automotive stupidity. Up there with LED washer jets.

Most definetly. Our job...to protect each and every last surviving FD in the North American continent.

We will ALL be looked down on and laughed at the moment spinners begin to pop up on FDs. Again, we must protect the few remaining FDs in the North American continent.

We should begin a nation wide screening of prospecting FD buyers.....
1) Do you like dubs?
2) Does watching spinnahs make your world go round and round?
3) Are wheels under 24 inches considered lame?
4) Is a $5000 stereo system more important than a $5000 brake system?
5) Is the tip of a muffler more important than the inlet and outlet size of the piping?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, please let someone else buy this RX-7

how are spinners "ricing" up the car? if you wanna get stick to your stereotypes .. spinners are for "ghetto people" .. which i can only assume youre referring to african americans since they are the ones in your ideals of the ghettos .. hmmm ok so lets see rx7 was made in japan .. how bout all the white people stick to their american cars with huge displacement blocks .. yeah stick to the corvettes camaro scene .. if putting spinners on an rx7 is what he would want to do with his 7 then hey im all for it .. cause there are some "brothas" out there that like that kinda thing .. and if that brings more interest into the rx7 scene then im down with that ..

I'm sorry, but this thread is as humorous to me as the List of Shame, I just wish someone would post pictures !!

As to rescureranger, I think it's time for you and your other 4 year old friends to retire to the club house 'till you have saved enough money to buy a matchbox version of the FD, and then by all means put spinners on them... I'll supply the toothpicks !!!

hmm why would i need a matchbox version of the rx7 when i have the real thing sitting outside in my driveway? and as for your "4 year old" comment im 24 .. with your "4 year old" comment you've tried to make it a personal attack which proves your maturity level .. and your comment has no basis whatsoever

As soon as I saw the thread title, I knew this would be good. I wasn't disappointed. BTW, my opinion lies in the majority on this one. And also why even ask about spinners here when you know the environment.

More accurately, he has no taste.

Yes, repeatedly.

Not at all, merely a matter of duty.

Sorry it's only one wheel, but photoshop was pissing me off (meaning, I suck at Photoshop).

this is as close to actually being on an FD as spinners should come.

What's with the "slippery slope" argument? Why can't you stay on-topic?

Bottom line: Spinners on an FD are tasteless and stupid.

I used to think this way............when I was in the DSM world pre-F&TF (circa '98). After there was "more interest" in the scene, it ruined it............COMPLETELY. I'd rather have less interest and less morons driving FD's anyday of the week over increased interest and idiots out there giving us FD enthusiasts who are responsible, bad names. Just my opinion.

the FD scene doesn't need any more interest.

How about because it's an aesthetic change to the detriment of the car's performance

Perhaps you would accept "gay" then?

people get flamed on here, or atleast have to defend there choice, for 19 inch rims...20 inch spinning dubs will get you roasted. I readily jump into the category and say it's stupid, but someone somewhere will do it.... it will see print in more crap rag or a mag and we'll all be crying when it does.

Any FD owner who has experienced the misery of "hey! isn't that the car from TF&F?" knows this.

I effing HATE spinners. Car full of teenies comes to edge of driveway coming out of wal-mart superpoor, slams on brakes instead of coming to controlled stop so his buddies think he's all that (NEVER seen a girl or girl car driving spinners. Hmmm...). I see said beat up toyota product, and it looks like it's still moving because the stupid tires are spinning. Well, the wheels are anyway. So I get all over the brakes, people behind me get all bent out of shape, and stupid pimple face decides I've just let him in, so he goes. But I had figured out it was stupid spinners so I had tried to mash the pedal to get past his bad karma. Ended up in the other lane.

I HATE spinners!!! Honestly, they're a road hazard!

(grumping old-mannishly into corner...)
