Anyone deal with Turbo City?? Please help!!!!!!!!

I recently bought and installed stock twins from Turbo City. They have since gone bad (in about 2k miles). Oil is coiming through the I/C pipes into the engine and out the exhaust very blue! I called Turbo City and they said send in the turbos along with the tag that was attached to them... Well guess what, I don't have the tag that was on them.

Has anyone dealt with Turbo City before, and if so, was there a way to get your money back with defective turbos and no tag to return? Any help is greatly appreciated!

hi

I got a rebuilt set done by them and it leaked right away. If you do a search for turbo city on this forum you will find that that is the case for more than one of us.

they have been sued before from what the guy at turbo city told me...he also told me that they people won their case but only won a little bit of money......a guy at pettit told me they even use BONDO to even out their bad workmanship to keep the **** from leaking.

you will not get your dough back...odds are....try taking them down there and talking to whoever did the rebuild...but even if they do them again they will leak again...you will be wasting your time.

I was out 1500 bucks for a set of turbos....I took the loss. there was nothing else I could do...I still had the tags too...

I then went to PERFORMANCE RIPNIQUES...I mean performance techniques...they rebuilt the set again and they sounded like a dentist drill...leaking within 3k miles...when the turbos were pulled apart the wheels were completely cooked and chipped from heat damage....granted I was running 13lbs of boost...regardless the set should have lasted longer than that...and should not have sounded like that from the install....they backed away from their promised warrantee and said my wheels were bad and that it was my fault...again I was out 1200.00. that makes 2700.00 plus labor for bad turbo rebuilds. i could have gone m2 a long time ago.

DO NOT EVER GET A SET OF REBUILDS....the stock set does not rebuild well...the last time I was at turbo city the guy said he would not do any more third gen turbos as they are junk and they can never get them right.

I went thru three sets of turbos in two years....now I have ditched the stock set in favor of the m2 twins.

best of luck...sorry for the negative post...I just do not want anyone else to go thru what I did..or you just did.
