anybody not want their stock emblems?

hey every1,
Im looking for a set of all the stock emblems. I planned on pulling mine out and painting them gunmetal to match my newly painted rims, but im told they break when u pull em out. I was wondering if anyone had replaced them with the efini ones and didnt want the stockers nemore? Id give ya some $ for them ane pay shipping! Im lookin for the rx7 thing on the back, and the mazda emblem front and rear bumper. Let me know if u can give up urs!
thanks,
-Zach

Gonna paint your emblems eh? HHmmmmm.... Might wanna look at these if you haven't seen them yet...

Some hint:

- Sand it down really really good, the chrome seems to be pretty thick.

- I sprayed on 3 layers of black and 3 layers of clear coat (10 min drying time in between each coat)

- Post pics when done!

Have fun.

Tips on removing the emblems...... Since I replaced the older style Mazda emblems I just ripped them off my bumper, and yes the lil plastic studs broke off but I had no need for them. I even had to cut the studs off the new emblems because they wouldn't fit but the back sticky part is good enough.

But in your case I'd say take a heat gun or hair dryer and run it over your emblem and take a screwdriver and carefully peel them loose. You might get lucky and won't have a hard time removing all the excessive glue, otherwise it might have a nasty "ring" stuck on your bumper, but since you're gonna put it back on then don't worry about it, just clean off the extra glue.

If you happen to break off the studs, don't worry, just get some "Rubber Cement" made by SuperGlue and that stuff will work just fine. It won't permenatly stick on but won't fall or peel off either. That's what I used for my black "RX7" in the back.

Here are some more pics:

Here's what your emblems should look like after a good sand down. It still looks a little silvery and you can see the sand marks but they will go away after you coat them with the paint:

I think the MB with gunmetal accents should look nice. Remember PICS!!

Use a old credit card to take the emblem out.

oh btw....i put them on before the paint had FULLY dried, so the way i got that "shot-peened" look on them was when pressing them into place, i pushed a cotton terry cloth all over them and it made those little indentations. Wasnt planned that way, but it looks pretty tight.
