Anybody know whats up with M2?

I sent my ECU to them to be remapped last week and was told it would be here on Friday the 16th. No ECU yet and they haven't been answering their phone or returning messages all this week. Am I screwed here or what?

I don't believe you are screwed. However, I've heard/read of horror stories when dealing with M2 (and the amount of time they take to do ANYTHING).

I don't think you are going to get ripped off, however, you might be waiting a while.

Yeah...you'll most likely wait awhile for it. Great products, but damn, customer service is awefull. Them and Pettit have been the worst ive dealt with.

WRX's are what's up with them right now. They don't prioritize FD's anymore. Their products are good but they put things off a lot. You'd think they'd be a little more responsive for the amount of money you put down fo a remap. All they do is hook up your ecu and load a file on there. Its outrageous that they charge so much and don't at least have it back to you with overnight shipping. I thought I remember them advertising quick turn around shipping.

Not to step on your toes but you are dead wrong. I was there yesterday and they happen to say that their main focus is and always has been the rx7 and that they actually will be focusing more on the rx7's and less time on the wrx's. As a matter of fact, there were about 7-8 rx7's there yesterday. How many wrx's- not one.

As far as bad customer service? I rather spend my money on someone working on my car rather than having that mechanic stop every few minutes to pick up the phone. People that are work as mechanics, construction workers or fabrication know how importnat it is tobe able to dedicate straight time to a project. I cannot count the number of times that I have stopped by at 8 pm or later, only to see them slaving away making sure that a customer's rx7 will be ready for them. BTW, the shop closes at 5-5:30pm. living only a few miles away, I think I can honestly attest to M2's dedication to their customers. If I had to guess for the reason for slow turn around times- I'd guess is that they put out such a high quality product that their services are for the most part- in high demand. Remember guys, there are only so many hours in a day.

Yes, but there's a difference between customer service for people lucky enough to live close by so they can take their cars there to be worked on, versus the rest of us who put our trust in them to be organized enough with the rest of the business (mail order) to get parts delivered that were paid for in a timely fashion.

This is not to knock M2. I've heard and seen great things about their products. But I've also heard first-hand reports on how long it sometimes takes to get those products. Or get responses to inquiries regarding the same after a wait (like ralgh, or some friends of mine).

I've been waiting for a hi-flow cat that I paid for from N-Tech for a couple of weeks, but at least Nick promptly replies to my emails/answers the phone to let me know what's happening.

They called me back around noon and now I just got the UPS tracing number, so it is in the mail. It seems the best way the get them moving is via e-mail. It has worked wel for me twice now.
