Lightbulb Anybody interested in an upgraded belly pan.....

For all of you w/ front mounts pay attention.....I am having a high quality-lightweight aluminum belly pan installed instead of the old feable black plastic one. It fits exactly to OEM specs (10 mm bolts). It is about 1 pound heavier than the plastic but super strong. It does not effect under hood temps as it has been put to the test on a highly modded FD w/ stock twins. It looks great and think about when you roll up on parking curb and your car jumps onto it and the front mount is fucked.or when your on the highway and you run over something and it tears right through there. This sucker will save your ***! It was tested on a parking curb and the car just lifted on with the belly pan protecting the front mount.... A good idea ifyour car is slammed to the ground also.. I know this sounds like a sales pitch but i think if you have the money to heavily mod your Rx (eg. a front mount) this would be considered another "reliability mod"...My plastic belly pan was shot anyway and this was a good compromise for a little more money. If anyoneis interested call Chad Hall at Autosport 9544615453....Pictures will be posted soon of this sucker when the car comes home....I hope this helps everyone..G....
P.S. This belly pan was fabricated by Chad and they came standard on Pettit racing's Banzai 3 rotor supercars...

Please consider also fabricating panels that seal off the incoming airstream to the rad. This should increase the efficiency of the rad as there will be less cooling air spillovers.

Are those yours, Max? I remember Jedon hosting them for somebody. Kevin Wyum's been saying that for eons...stock rad is fine if we seal off the path to it better.

It isn't mine, but I wish it was! Mine is all hacked up. I have one side sealed with the vinyl packaging from a tool I bought at Sears the day I was sealing the pan up. I've also got a strip of Home Depot foam insulation glued on with trim adhesive. It ain't pretty, but it works pretty well. The one in those pics looks new and very nicely sealed up.
