Anybody has more info on this Unit?

I saw this on ebay and i was wondering if anybody has any more info about it. It's says it's PFC PMS for 93-95 FD but i thought that PFC was purple. What do you guys think about this and can you give me more info.

Looks about right to me.

You should find out what version of the software he has if you are considering buying this.

That looks purple to me.

I think you are confused.
There is this outdated piggyback system called PFS PMC and then there is APEX'i PFC

But there is no "PFC PMC"

The one pictured is PFS PMC

Is this the same unit as the purple PFC, and by the way he said he doesn't know what kind of software he has but it worked fine on his Fd.

PFC = apexi power FC
PFS = Peter Farrel Super Cars
PMC= Powetrain Management Computer

that purple thing is the PFS PMC = very old technology.

buy an apexi powerFC. you don't want to skimp on a engine computer. it will cost you ALOT more in the long run. new engine etc

Some people are suing the PFS PMC effectively in their FD but this is a small number of people.
You are better off with APEX'i PFC or AEM which is due out in another 2-3 weeks.
I am using the PFC myself like a lot of other people.

Edit: MY BAAAD!
I meant to say "using" the PFS PMC not "suing".
I think it was a Freudian slip.

OK, I'll spoon feed you and make it simple.
The one in the picture is a Peter Farrell Supercars' PMC.
It is about a 4-5 year old technology.
It sucks, don't buy it especially since you don't seem to understand things well.
It really is not recommended.

Go to the below site and read read read on the PFS PMS

http://www.newwave.net/~flanham/wlanham/

There are a good amount of members that use this ecu. it is a piggyback ecu and it does work ont eh RX7. That is IF the unit is made for the RX7 in the first place. Where on ebay is it? i can't find it...could you put a link?

The latest software is pink which was developed in 99. This ecu does adjust fuel, timing, and does control boost and it does monitor different aspects of the motor. It's a decent unit. But it must be tuned on a dyno. The maps that come with it are just out there. You need a wideband 02 sensor to get it right.

Agreed. It's very old technology, if you bought a car and it had it that's one thing but there are many other options that you should consider looking into.

That would be a waste of time hehe. PFS (Peter Farell Supercars) does not support the PFS (Peter Farell Supercars) PMC (Powertrain Management Computer) unless you buy it new from him (Money). I (PoMoFo) like my Apexi PFC (Power FC) very much. Don't want to confuse anybody (Forum).

It's ironic but looks like Wade Lanham is selling his PMC.

lol....the original poster isn't paying attention.

the PFC PMC doesn't seem to be 'that' bad as rikki is pulling some pretty good HP numbers with that ecu (look at his post here on the forum)
