Any way to power the guage cluster out of the car?
When I was doing my gauge lighting mod I would just take the gauge cluster itself (minus the hood and surround) out to my car and connect it up to test the look of the lighting on the gauges.
If you want to connect power to the cluster the you may try connecting a 12V source to these points, however, I DO NOT know what will happen for sure, so I take no responsibility for what happens.

Touch the pos+ to the screw that the red wire is going to and connect neg- to the screw the black wire is going to. These points have power only when the lights are on and I traced them to some of the lights in the cluster. I don't know if they will power all the lights though.
