Any risk to running without headlight cover in the rain?

My headlight cover flew off at the track last week. I store my car in the winters and this summer has been cold and wet. I'd like to drive it as often as I can.

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and sunny all day until the early evening when I might get caught in some rain.

Do I run any risk driving in the rain without the headlight cover? Can electrics be shorted out, etc?

Thanks.

should be fine as long as you dont do it for a prolonged amount of time i.e. days upon days of driving in the wet

i dont see the difference between the cover being on and the lights being on during the rain than it being off and closed. either way, the entire housing and such gets wet, hence the rubber grommet on the back of the bulb to protect the actual bulb connector. everything else has weather pack connectors..................
