Question Any precautions for a paint job on an FD

I've got a 93 silver FD. The clear coat is looking bad, like acid rain fell all over the car. I want it painted silver again. The car has been painted before...again, silver. Anything about the FD that is special to watch for when getting it painted? Did everyone get new rubber seals around the back window?

Also, the back bumper has a 3 inch crack in it....what filler or repair is best? Is fiberglass/resin going to fill this stuff? I'm a little worried because the bumper is maleable. Thanks.
